I've only been here twice but... The owner is so friendly. The service is attentive. The portions are huge. The restaurant is cute. And the food is good. The box meal, I had the dinner portion, was so big it was two full meals. The sweet sticky rice and mango is excellent! The shrimp rice noodle from the dim sum menu were good. Nothing to write home for but good size and they didn't slump in the shrimp Stir fried vegetables in a garlic sauce were amazing! If you are in the theater district, definitely worth a stop.

My friend and I came here for dinner before going to see a movie at the nearby AMC theater. The space was cute and charming. Upon being seated, we were served a simple soup. I offered the Dinner Box of Beef in peanut sauce, which came with salad, dumplings and spring rolls. This was quite tasty and I loved the thick peanutty flavor paired with the hearty, wonderfully succulent beef. The salad was fresh and crunchy with a ginger dressing. I also enjoyed both the dumplings and spring rolls. Overall, a lovely meal with good service. The waitress was friendly and made sure we were taken care of. I would return to try the Salmon with fresh Ginger sauce and 1 of the drinks of Thai Iced Tea or Thai Iced Coffee.

Love the service & atmosphere, still trying to decide the right selection since there are are few excellent ones

Food was delicious. Server/hostess was very attentive. Had a small wait for food to come but we were not in a rush so no big deal. Wide variety of dim sum was a surprise and always nice in addition to Thai dishes available. Not your standard restaurant. Definitely different from the average. Small business.

So I literally just walked out of the restaurant and just realized I forgot to take pictures arghhh! This is hands down one of the best if not the best Thai food I have ever had. Well maybe it's because it's in NY I dunno. The service was great, the food was memorable. So we had chicken balls, shrimp dumplings, Shrimp Fried Rice and Duck. We chose the lunch special and it does fill you up quickly. I highly, highly, highly and highly recommend. Anyway Yelpers I hope you all have a lovely weekend and find something as amazing to eat as the food at Abaya Thai
